何も考えずにやることが一番の罪

昨年あたりからアメリカでF1が非常に人気になっていることをご存じでしょうか？F1とはモータースポーツと呼ばれる、スポーツカーのレース競技です。長らく人気が低迷していたF1ですが、NETFLIXで配信されたドキュメンタリー番組がきっかけでF1の魅力を知り、興味を持つ人が急増しました。その他にも今年はバスケットボールのワールドカップが開催されるなど、新たな注目を浴びているスポーツが増えています。スポーツと言えば野球やサッカーなどが注目されがちですが、ネット社会になった今、様々な方法で世界に発信し今まで伝えられなかった魅力を伝えることができるようになりました。
学校と言えば勉強ですが、部活動（スポーツ）に打ち込んで大会などで結果を出すと、スポーツの実力だけでも高校や大学に行くことができます。それはあくまでも学力を差し引いても余りある実力があるごく一部の生徒のみで、並大抵の努力ではスポーツ推薦をもらうことはできません。それは勉強で言えば偏差値トップレベルの進学校を目指すのと同じで、こちらも並大抵の努力では合格することはできません。
本当に大事なことはそんなごく一部の人間になることより、自分が得意なこと、熱中できること、継続できることを見つけ、その才能を発揮できる場所に進むことです。
言われたからやっている。特にやりたいことはないけれど勉強はしている。そんな受動的な姿勢をずっと続けていると、いずれ「自分は何がしたいのか」という壁にぶつかります。
ぼんやりしていても構いません。自分が将来大人になったときにどんなことをやりたいか、日々の経験の中で少しずつ考えていきましょう。まずは自分がやっていて楽しいことを見つけるだけで十分です。自分はこれが好きだ！と言えることをできるだけ多く探しておきましょう。それが大人になったときに必ず生きてきます。
